Existing OnMerge not working after Windows upgrade? OnMerge works great with Windows 10, but our friends at Microsoft played a trick on us: the Windows upgrade process deactivates existing OnMerge installations. This causes an activation pop-up or a pink box when you start Word.
To reactivate your existing OnMerge, just:
- Uninstall OnMerge using Windows Control Panel's Program and Features icon (your existing OnMerge layouts are safe)
- Download the latest version of OnMerge from the link you received in your original OnMerge purchase confirmation e-mail
- Reinstall it using the activation key from your original OnMerge confirmation e-mail.
This only needs to be done once. The new version resists deactivation by future Word and Windows upgrades.
All About Us. About our Company.
We're computer nuts. All of us. We've been making the OnMerge line of software in California since 2005.
We're huge believers in the Japanese philosophy of kaizen, a continual stream of small improvements. We relentlessly improve OnMerge whenever we spot even the smallest glitch, and when we find a way to make OnMerge easier to use—or just better.
We love what we do, and we think it shows in our products and service.
Questions? Comments? Need Help? Contact Us.
We analyze every support request we get—every one—to see if it shows that there's room for improving our products. Usually, we'll have already improved the cause of that question or glitch before it even becomes an issue for you.
